What should i do to start a modeling career?
I’m 17 years old, I’m 5’8 & i want to be A Model (Print, Editorial & eventually Runway).
All i would like to know really is
What i should do on the day to day basis to prepare for modeling?
How do i start a portfolio?
& how do i contact people about modeling other then applying online,
Also what agencies accept applications, picture and information for free besides Ford Modeling?
You do not need a portfolio to Start Modeling. If any agency signs you, they will put together a portfolio for you, starting with test shoots until you get actual tears. And they will not charge you for this.
All you have to submit to an agency are two pictures – a headshot and full body shot. Almost every big agency accepts pictures for free – in fact the legitimate agencies do not charge anything up front.
Agencies to look into are Ford, Elite, IMG, Wilhelmina, Click, DNA, Marilyn, Next, Women, etc.
Look on sites like Models.com that list the Top 10 agencies in terms of bookings. Or look on supermodels.nl and search for your fave models. It lists the agencies they are signed with on their page.
